Yam cake 芋头糕

 Tomorrow Breakfast ....
  


Ingredients:-
700g Yam (Sliced)
3 tbsp Dried shrimp, soaked in hot water, drained and chopped coarsely
500g Rice flour
60g Tapioca flour
60g Wheat starch
1400ml Water
3 tsp Salt
1 cube Chicken stock
1 tsp Five spice powder
* pepper to taste
Method:
  1. Steam sliced yam until cook and smash it, mix well with the flour ingredients, set aside.
  2. Mixed the water, salt, chicken stock, five spice powder and pepper together. Make sure the chicken stock dissolve properly.
  3. Pour into the yam mixture and mixed well, set aside.
  4. Fried dried shrimps till brown and crisp on low flame.
  5. Add in yam mixture and keep stirring until it forms a sticky texture. (medium heat)
  6. Pour mixture into a greased pan, steam for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour or until cook.
  7. Cool completely before cutting.
  8. Fried until golden brown.
  9. Enjoy with some chilli or sweet dark sauce.
