Kaya Puff





Ingredients A:-
150g   Plain flour
60g     Butter/Margarine
20g     Sugar
60ml    Water

Ingredients B:-
100g   Plain flour
20g     Shortening
2tbsp Cooking oil

Filings:-  using ready  kaya spread (Hainanese Kaya)

Glazing with egg.

Method:-
  1. Mix flour and butter well.  Add in sugar and water gradually, knead until the dough A smooth.
  2. Mix ingredients B well and knead it become dough B.
  3. Flatten dough A, put on top of dough B and roll it flat.
  4. Fold into 3 layers, leave it for about 10 mins to rise.
  5. Make the dough to rectangular shape.  Roll up and cut into 10 portions.
  6. Keep it in refrigerator for about 15 mins.
  7. Press dough into thin pcs, put 1 scoop fillings into each potion.
  8. Fold the edge to become kaya puff.  Make sure the edge is fold well.
  9. Bake in pre-heat oven at 200 C for 8 to 10 mins.
  10. Glaza the top of puff with egg and continue to bake for another 10 mins.
