Ho! Ho! Ho! Christmas is around the corner and its time to prepare some goodies and gifts for our dear friends and families!
I am taking part in Aspiring Bakers #14: Creative Christmas Bakes (December 2011) hosted by Hankerie of Hankerie's blog
Ingredients:-
(A) 280g Bread
flour
125g Wholemeal
flour
70g Sugar
1
1/8 tsp Salt
12g Yeast
½
tsp Cinnamon
powder
130g Water
4 Egg
70g Milk
(B) 50g Butter
(C) 10g Chopped
walnut
30g Cranberry
10g Almond
Egg
wash: 1 egg
Method:-
- Place all the (A) ingredients into a mixer bowl and knead.
- Add in butter. Knead till gluten is developed.
- Add in walnut & cranberry,
- Round and ferment dough for 30 mins. Push down the dough and knead briefly.
- Divide the dough into 20g each. Roll out to about 12 inch in length. Plait 3 pieces together.
- Proof for about an hour.
- Egg wash, sprinkle sliced almonds and stud with cranberry. Bake at 200 C for 10 mins.
- Brush with melted butter.
